Mr. William Lanza, known as "Bill," opened Lanza's Nursery on his property in 1979. Lanza's Nursery started with the sale of trees and shrubs. As Bill's business grew, he expanded into selling summer and fall flowers, such as geraniums, mums, and pansies.

Bill owned and operated the nursery alongside his family, especially with the help from his daughter, Janet, and his son, Bill Jr.

From the 1990's - 2000's, Lanza's became known for its beautiful mums, grown on the property! 

When Lanza's was reopened for (new) business in 2015 by Chris Difeo, Bill was thrilled! He still enjoyed coming down to work every day to see the happy customers of Lanza's. Bill sadly passed away in early 2017, but his legacy still stands!
